March, Plano will welcome James Sargent of the 50 year old VRPS – The Vintage-Antique Radio & Phonograph Society. This is a non-profit historical organization incorporated in the Irving and serving enthusiasts of Dallas-Ft. Worth Texas and Surrounding Areas. They have regular meetings and vintage radio auctions.
James will present “Atwater Kent, the early years”. Even though Atwater Kent had no influence on ham radio, his development style was used by hams well into the 30’s and even today with what we typically call “breadboarding”.
The General Klub Meeting will be at the
First United Methodist Church Plano on the corner of Parker Rd and Spring Creek.
