Hello everyone,
You may have already noticed the new look of k5prk.net. The past few months I have been working on a full overhaul of the club website. The previous website was running an outdated and increasingly unsupported version of Joomla that was falling apart one plugin at a time. This made it difficult to maintain and contributed to the delay of several monthly club newsletters.
My primary design goals for the new site were that it needed to:
- Be intuitive to use and easy to read
- Be powered by a well-supported open-source CMS engine
- Maintain recent content from the previous site (photos and documents)
The website now runs on the popular WordPress CMS engine using a minimalist theme. Online club documents and articles have been moved over to a public Google Drive folder where you can find a complete archive of every upload to the the previous site’s “Articles and Files” section.
